CANYONING AOTEAROA- 3 things you need to know
The moment has arrived! We are delighted to be able to publicly introduce our brand-new company Canyoning Aotearoa. Creating this company has been a journey of hard work, setbacks, triumphs and tribulations, and we are proud to say that our dream has finally become a reality.
Here are 3 things you should know about us:
1/ Our vision
When we first decided to create a company together, the vision included creating a company with a strong link to nature and the outdoor culture of Aotearoa, New Zealand. We firmly believe that spending time in the outdoors, combined with adventurous activities, is one of the keys for a healthy lifestyle and the pursuit of happiness.
2/ Our logo
The logo combines different meanings and elements created in accordance with our vision.
The drop: we chose a drop as it represents the primary element in Canyoning . . . Water! From the tiniest raindrops in the clouds above to the flowing creeks down the mountainside, water has formed the deep crevices of the canyons, the rivers that flow into the lake and the magical playground for us to enjoy. A metaphor for how the power of small things combined can lead to great and powerful change.
The koru: often used in Māori art as a symbol of creation and is based on the shape of an unfurling fern frond. It symbolises new life, growth, strength and peace. For us this represents our past journeys as individuals and symbolises our united passion, which even a global pandemic could not stop!

Mount Pourangahau & Lake Rotoiti: paying respects to the mesmerising Lake Rotoiti and surrounding nature, famous for its photogenic jetty, swarms of Eels and dramatic ridge lines. This is represented in our logo artistically with a Blue Eel head at the base, overlooked by its powerfully 1421m tall mate; Mount Pourangahau.

3/ Our team
Adrien, Mark and Camille combine European charm with Kiwi attitude to create a team that is diverse, dynamic and driven. A trio of complimentary characters united in our passion and desire, with over 25+ years of experience combined, we are more than ready to share our love for adventure with you!
