DESCRIPTION

Discover one of nature's rare hidden treasures tucked away off the beaten track.

After crossing the pristine Lake Rotoiti, under the impressive gaze of Mount Pourangahau / Mt Robert, by water taxi, head off the main track for a 20-minute walk through lush, untouched native bush to the top of the canyon, and then onto jumping, abseiling, sliding and zipline through this steeply slotted Greywacke Canyon carved by water so pure you can drink.

This is the perfect half-day experience for not only those adventurous types who are keen to discover what canyoning is all about, but also those who are already familiar with the activity and ready to tick off a new and exciting canyon in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

TESTIMONIALS

Jo

Canyoning Aotearoa is Nelson's... no wait, top of the South's... heck NZ's best kept secret (but not for long)! Abseiling craggy crevices, leaping into crystal clear pools, getting cannoned out of a waterfall - just another casual weekend in the Nelson area! Mark & Camille took us on the half-day Hidden Falls adventure in Nelson Lakes National Park & we LOVED every second. This trip is really well planned making it great for every body and all abilities, from those looking to step (slightly) outside of their comfort zone to those wanting more of a thrill. The guides make you feel super comfortable with their friendly approach and awesome instruction. And in terms of natural beauty & bang for your buck, it doesn't get much better than this. Canyoning Aotearoa - do it!!
