DESCRIPTION
Discover one of nature's rare hidden treasures tucked away off the beaten track.
After crossing the pristine Lake Rotoiti, under the impressive gaze of Mount Pourangahau / Mt Robert, by water taxi, head off the main track for a 20-minute walk through lush, untouched native bush to the top of the canyon, and then onto jumping, abseiling, sliding and zipline through this steeply slotted Greywacke Canyon carved by water so pure you can drink.
This is the perfect half-day experience for not only those adventurous types who are keen to discover what canyoning is all about, but also those who are already familiar with the activity and ready to tick off a new and exciting canyon in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
We advise the minimum age to be 12yo, but realistically, it is more about physical conditions and adventure spirit of your kids. Please contact us to discuss more about it.

Disclosure:
Adventure-based activities involve inherent risks that cannot be entirely eliminated and are comparable to those encountered in other outdoor recreational environments. These may include minor injuries or illnesses such as slips, trips, bruising, exposure to water, uneven or slippery terrain, heights, changing weather conditions, and environmental factors including insects or wildlife. This may include the risk of insect stings (such as wasp stings), which in rare cases can result in allergic reactions requiring medical attention.
While serious incidents are uncommon, participants acknowledge that outdoor activities are conducted in natural environments where conditions can change and hazards may be present. The safety of participants is the highest priority for our highly trained and experienced professional instructors, who operate in accordance with established safety systems, Standard Operating Procedures, and risk management practices.
Canyoning activities can be physically and mentally demanding and require an appropriate level of fitness, coordination, and comfort in outdoor environments. Participants must follow all instructions, briefings, and guidelines provided by instructors at all times. Failure to do so may increase the risk of injury to themselves or others. By participating, individuals acknowledge and accept these inherent risks, including environmental and allergic risks, and agree to take personal responsibility for their actions during the activity.
