About us
Kia ora, Welcome, Bienvenue
Meet Camille and Adrien; a local Nelsonian and a Frenchman, who would often go exploring in the Nelson Lakes National Park together. There was something so tantalising about the beautiful pristine Lake Rotoiti, lush native bush, old beech forests and surrounding impressive mountains, but what surprised them more was discovering that very few had entered the hidden and exciting world of Canyoning!
The Canyons natural beauty of cascading waterfalls and moss-covered rocks became an escape from their everyday life; a beauty that the two adventurers knew others deserved to know.
This dream led them into a journey and a number of years of hard work, gaining concession from the Department of Conservation (DOC) and passing the Safety Audit with AdventureMark, resulting in the creation of a company built from real passion and love. ‘Canyoning Aotearoa’ was born!
They invite you to join them on an unforgettable ride in this outdoor activity they call ‘Canyoning’; jumping, sliding, swimming, zip-lining and abseiling off waterfalls as you take in the magnificent surrounding views – it really does have to be seen to be believed! Their expertise and experience will keep you safe, confident and build your skills. Canyoning is a challenge, but one that comes with ultimate rewards - there must be a reason why Adrien and Camille just keep coming back…
