RISKS UNDERSTANDING
Before deciding whether you, or any person you book for, wish to participate in a canyoning activity, it is important that you understand the risks involved. We strongly recommend that you read the following Risk Disclosure information carefully prior to making a booking.
Canyoning is a physically demanding activity, there is uneven and slippery terrain, and you will be in water where you may need to swim. Canyoning encounters heights, and they are fairly committing environments where escaping instantly is not always possible. The potential risk while canyoning are rock and tree fall, falling from heights, impact injuries, twists and sprains, drowning, hypothermia and severe allergic reactions to wasp and bee stings, i.e., anaphylaxes.

The top of the South Island, in Aotearoa/NZ, has the highest density of wasps in the world. I understand this risk, and must disclose any known allergies for wasps, bees or any other insect stings or bites.

I consent to receive any medical treatment that may be deemed necessary by Canyoning Aotearoa Ltd in the event of injury or illness while participating.
I understand that participation in a canyoning trip may be hazardous for the named participant. I assume the risk of harm or injury, which may occur to the participant as a result of participating in the a canyoning trip. In the event of any adverse, unfavourable or dangerous weather, bad hydrologic conditions or uneven terrain during the descent, I accept and understand that the instructor reserves the right to make changes or to stop the descent; it follows that no compensation is payable.I understand that, if I act dangerously and don’t follow the rules and instructions set out by Canyoning Aotearoa and the guide, Canyoning Aotearoa won’t be responsible for any injury I cause to myself or another person, or damage to or loss of property.
